Introducing myself, and like to meet people - 2006/10/10 02:43
I would like to introduce myself and would love to get to know other Yakima residents.
How I became a resident here is quite unique in itself. My name is Pat Gibbs. I have fibromyalgia and for years I belonged to a large online support group, about 3 million members worldwide. I became friends with a single gentleman here in Yakima and for about 3 years friends we were. The board that I belonged to closed it's Chit Chat section so we could no longer go there to discuss fun things and events, so I created a board of my own.
The man that was a member there followed all of us to my forum. As time went on we became better acquainted, later chatting on instant messenger and at some point by phone. He has this illness too. After about 3 1/2 years it became evident to us both that we were in fact soulmates. 16 months ago he ask me to come to WA to meet him, so I packed everything I could carry into my Ford 350 club cab long bed pickup and headed out on a 2500 mile trip. By this time I knew his sister and had vistied with her, and she had sent me lots of photos. Well, to shorten the story a bit, last December we were married.
This spring I opened my own business since it is difficult for me to work out as some days are just really bad. We put in Gibbs Scentsations, and we handle the best Gourmet Soy Candles ever. I also do gift baskets, made up or custom made to the customers liking. My work is really fullfilling. In addition I do fund raisers for all types of activity groups, animal shelters, schools, day care centers, anyone who needs to raise funds.
I would like to meet and make freinds here and would be happy if any ladies here would like to get acquainted.
