Planet Joe

Planet Joe exceeds expectations. The coffee is very good. The service is friendly, fast and good. The free wifi is a bonus that keeps me coming back.

Not quite as good as Tully's or SBC, but excellent for a local roast.

Atmosphere:A-
Excellent living room set up in the back with leather chairs and a leather sofa. The more patio style furniture in the front is surprisingly comfortable. Music, clientele, etc. are good.

Pastries/deserts aren't necessarily the freshest and are definitely overpriced. Starbucks has them beat here easily, but most people don't come for the food.

The free wi-fi is great but the drinks, at best, leave much to be desired. The sevice is always friendly, but that's just not enought to make up for the bad coffee and a very uncomfortable atmosphere that keeps me from wanting to sit down to enjoy what should be a relaxing coffee shop experience. As far as the free shots go, well, sometimes you get what you pay for.

Planet Joe is great. They give free extra shots!! Try getting that at Starbucks! Also, the coffee is the freshest around - since it's roasted right here in Yakima. I'm hooked!
