Among Washington beer festivals, the festival's premise is specific and unusual. Here's the deal: to create a "fresh hop ale" brewers must get "wet" Yakima hops (which provide aroma and flavor to beer) from the vine to the vat within 24 hours to create the headlining ale.

The festival is held at the Millenium Arts Plaza, 7 S. 3rd Street in downtown Yakima. Festivities begin at 6pm and will continue until 11pm, rain or shine! Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 at the door. All proceeds benefit Allied Arts of Yakima Valley.
