Whether you want to snowmobile in the Cascades near Tampico or float the white water rapids on White Pass, you'll find excitment and thrills. This winter we have near-record snow levels in the mountains and the conditions are excellent!

There are tamer things to do as well, like hiking on the Greenway or playing a round of golf at one of the area's fine courses. Yakima Speedway racing heats up during the summer months and Renegade Raceway has plenty of drag racing action. There's hunting and fishing in season and all kinds of water sports. If you like dancing, you'll find live music for dancing at several area clubs. There are several fairs and rodeos throughout the year, as well as other equestrian events.

Yakima hosts basketball tournaments each year as well as many softball and soccer events, and every summer hundreds of people participate in the locally renowned "Gap to Gap" race.
