Education As Diverse As Our Valley Itself
The great diversity of our Valley is certainly represented in our schools. We have a robust mix of public and private educational institutions serving the needs of our community.
The recent expansion of four-year college programs in the Valley is indicative of the trend toward decentralizing education and making it more readily accessible to everyone. We also have several thriving private schools serving the K-12 segment, including one Internet school which has its world headqaurters here in the Yakima Valley.
Our public schools are striving to meet the challenges of serving a diverse, mobile population while meeting the new standards mandated by the No Child Left Behind Act.
